Property sales in Cyprus

Property sales recorded a rapid rise a month before the end of 2021, reversing the negative climate of October and creating strong expectations that the year will close with a positive sign.

According to data from the Department of Lands and zoning, sales increased in November 2021 by 59%, reaching 1,149 compared to 723 last November.

Regarding the period January-November 2021, an increase of 25% was recorded, with 9.063 sales documents compared to 7.231 in the corresponding period last year.

In Limassol and Nicosia the lion’s share

Limassol maintained the first rate of 31,4% in November 2021, counting 361 sales compared to 227 in November 2020 and an increase of 59%.

For the first eleven months of the year, sales documents in Limassol increased by 28%, reaching 2.886 from 2.263 in the same period of 2020.

39% increased property sales in Nicosia in November, as they amounted to 302 from 217 in the same month of 2020, while for the eleven months of 2021 a rise of 34% was recorded, with 2.517 sales documents compared to 1.877 in the same period last year.

Launch up to 77%

Sales of Real Estate in Paphos jumped 77%, which stood at 203 this November compared to 115 last November. For the period January-November 2021, the sales documents amounted to 1.573 compared to 1.406 in the corresponding period of 2020, recording an increase of 12%.

Moreover, 75% increased sales in Larnaca in November, reaching 198 from 113 in the same month of 2020, while the sales documents from January to November 2021 amounted to 1.475 compared to 1.164 in the same period last year, increasing to 27%.

Regarding free Famagusta, only this November 85 real estate sales were recorded compared to 51 in the corresponding month of 2020, recording an increase of 67%, while for the period January – November 2021 the sales documents increased by 17% to 612 compared to 521 in the same period last year.
